How to Sync Your Airbnb Calendar with Google Calendar

Add your Airbnb bookings to Google Calendar in under two minutes using Airbnb's built-in iCal export. No third-party tools required for basic syncing.

Step-by-step: Airbnb to Google Calendar

  1. 1

Get your Airbnb iCal export URL

Log in to Airbnb. From your hosting dashboard, open the listing, then go to Availability > Sync calendars > Export calendar. You will see a URL starting with webcal://. Copy it.

  2. 2

    Open Google Calendar

Go to calendar.google.com. In the left panel, find "Other calendars" and click the + icon next to it.

  3. 3

    Select "From URL"

Click "From URL" from the dropdown menu. A dialog box appears asking for a calendar URL.

  4. 4

Paste the Airbnb URL and add the calendar

Paste the webcal:// URL you copied from Airbnb. Click "Add calendar". Google Calendar will import the Airbnb feed and create a new calendar entry showing your booked dates.

Sync delay

Google Calendar refreshes iCal subscriptions approximately every 12-24 hours. A new Airbnb booking will not appear in Google Calendar immediately - it will show up at the next scheduled refresh. You can trigger a manual refresh by going to the calendar settings and clicking "Refresh".

Important: this is a one-way sync

Subscribing to an iCal feed is read-only. Google Calendar will display your Airbnb bookings, but cannot push any data back to Airbnb. This means:

  • Airbnb to Google Calendar: bookings appear in Google Calendar
  • Google Calendar to Airbnb: personal events are NOT synced back
  • To block Airbnb dates from outside Airbnb, you need a reverse import

Multiple listings or multiple platforms?

If you have multiple listings or also list on VRBO and Booking.com, you will have multiple iCal URLs to manage. You can add each one as a separate Google Calendar subscription, but a cleaner approach is to combine them first.

Paste all of your iCal source URLs into iCalendar Sync and you will get back one combined URL. Subscribe to that single URL in Google Calendar and you see all your bookings from all platforms in one place.

Combined URL also works for Airbnb import

Once you have a combined iCal URL from iCalendar Sync, you can also paste it into Airbnb's "Import calendar" field. This lets each platform see all your bookings from all other platforms, reducing the risk of double bookings.

Blocking Airbnb dates from Google Calendar

If you want your personal Google Calendar events (like a family trip or owner stay) to block availability on Airbnb, the process runs in reverse:

  1. 1. In Google Calendar, open the settings for the calendar containing your personal events.
  2. 2. Copy the "Secret address in iCal format" URL (found under Integrate Calendar).
  3. 3. Go to Airbnb > Availability > Sync calendars > Import calendar and paste the Google Calendar URL there.

Airbnb will then poll your Google Calendar and block any dates that have events on your calendar.

Airbnb and Google Calendar Questions

Yes, but not instantly. Google Calendar fetches the Airbnb iCal feed on its own schedule, roughly every 12-24 hours. You can trigger a manual refresh in Google Calendar settings to pull in new bookings sooner.

No. Subscribing to an iCal feed is one-way. Google Calendar reads your Airbnb availability and displays it. It cannot push your personal calendar events back to Airbnb as blocked dates.

No. You are subscribing to a read-only feed from Airbnb. Your Google Calendar and its contents are entirely separate and private.

Go to airbnb.com, open your listing, then navigate to Availability > Sync calendars > Export calendar. Copy the webcal:// URL provided.

Not directly through iCal. To block dates on Airbnb you need to either block them manually in Airbnb, or export a Google Calendar feed and import it back into Airbnb as a separate iCal import - though Google Calendar's iCal export is a different URL.

Sync all your platforms in one step

Combine Airbnb, VRBO, and Booking.com into a single iCal URL. Works with Google Calendar and any other calendar app.
